def wind noise, especially traveling above a certain mph, feels like you're going through a wind tunnel

Ok, maybe I'm being a dork, but mine is adjustable. Did you try lowering it? Just trying to help....I just figured this out the other day.

the reason i ask is that im going to buy purchasing a new car
in the near future and i have always liked the G35 coupe since
it came out and hopped on this forum only to find out that there
seems to be a bunch of annoying problems that, while small, are
very noticeable (rattling, wind noise, and dumb electronic seat maneuvering).

yeah, lots of car magazines have reviewed the G and said that its brakes and complete ****.
IMO, it probably depends on what you're coming from, and what you're looking for. They are very dependable, decent interior (for what you are paying), great performance, a fair market for mods, good resell. Bet you 8 out of 10 people on this thread would tell you they wouldn't trade their G for anything but a newer G. And keep in mind, finding the perfect car is like a marriage. They ALL have flaws. It's what's important to you that makes them "fit" who you are and what you feel is important. My G is WAY more quiet than my Eclipse was. But the Acura TL I drove was quieter and smoother. But SLOW! So what is important, and what are you willing to sacrifice (a little) to get it?

good point aj, i came from a long line of bmws, mustangs, mercedes, acuras and etc...they all have their flaws, but they also, all have their rewards....

i think the g35 is the best of all worlds, entry level luxury of europeans, close hp of mustangs, Japanese reliability, and can corner exceptionally well for a 3500 pound boat...

yeah, i currently have a 2005 lexus and i dont get much wind noise
at all nor any rattles. but i have had my eye on the G for some time
now...wind noise sounds like it is manageable but the rattles seem
to be quite bothersome and hard to ignore. =/

IMO Lambo, I think you would be quite happy in the G. The Lexus IS300 was a close competitor when I was searching. But the power difference helped me make up my mind. It was certainly quieter. However, I am always jamming my stereo (which I haven't had any complaints about thus far) so I don't hear ANY road noise Be sure to check out what everyone loves about their G before letting this thread trip you up.
And I totally agree fluffy! I found everything I wanted in the G. It's a good marriage thus far.
Sorry, not trying to stray from the purpose of this thread. It has flaws, but the positives GREATLY outweigh them.

yeah, likewise...im always bumping the tunes
in my car..so i guess that might negate the wind noise.
(thanks for the feedback aj, trying to get some info before the test drives)

One other thing you might want to consider is the year of the model ppl are referring to when they are talking about things they don't like

Some things have been fixed (kinda) in newer models.

IMHO, just too much shiny stuff on the trunk lid, the European competetion only has a logo and model emblem on the trunk! I'm 6'2" and havbe plenty of headroom. The seat also adjust down as well as up. My '07 driver seat still doesn't fit as well as the '04, had I driven the '07 a 100 miles before buying I might not have done the deal.

Yup. But good thing much of it is just glued on, so it is easy to remedy. I can't believe how much better it looks without "INFINITI" across the back.

Good point Joker! And your welcome Lambo! Always trying to corral another enthusiast, lol. Really tho it's all about what's right for you. Good thing we started that new thread about what you LOVE about your G. This was turning into the opposite of where it started. lol. Sorry guys! Back on subject, but I am not adding anything else that I dont like right now.
