#212
I opened my center counsle today and found this really sweet special feature. The lights is what origanally caught my attention. i then noticed several small buttons. i thought i would try pushing one was a was driving down the street. suddenly my car got really fast. It took me by surprise. So i took a picture to explain. This is by car the best feature i have found yet!

Don't mean to revive an old thread, but someone linked this in a newer thread asking about this kinda stuff.
While in cruise, if you press and release the switch in the 'res/accel' direction or the 'set/decel' direction, the set cruising speed will increase or decrease by an increment of approximately 1 mph. Most cars work that way. Every car my family has owned since I was old enough to notice had cruise control and behaved in this way.
One nifty thing I noticed, at least with the Bose stereo in my 06 coupe, is that when turning on the radio, if you turn the volume down at the right point as it's starting, it jumps the volume all the way down to one of the very lowest settings. Haven't figured out the timing, but there have been several times I knew I left the volume near 20, and while turning the dial or pressing the steering wheel switch down just a few notches, I'll look and see the volume at 3 or something lower. Kinda nifty, kinda hidden, but nothing spectacular.
As someone new to the G and w/o an owners manual I just found out I can hold in the cruise control accel button to accelerate and hold the coast to decelerate w/o touching the gas or brake. Funny, I bet a lot of cars do this, probably my last one too, I just never knew...
