Really Cool Unknown Features
Really Cool Unknown Features
OK, so I noticed this in another thread but it did't have a catchy Title. So, I'll start one!
There are things I definetly don't know about my car but would love to know. So, I'll put one up and hopefully learn plenty of new things.
OK, I know you guys know that you can roll up and down your windows with the key right? I was wondering "Why the hell is there a key hole for only on the driver side and not the passenger?". So, My nephew tells me that you can roll down your window by turning the key in the keyhole to unlock position and holding it. Now, I was like...hey, let's see what happens when you lock the doors with the key in the keyhole and holding it there. Voila, it rolls the windows up. I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering why there is a freaking key hole and finding out you can do this.
So, since I gave away that semi-secret on the window rolling up and down with the key in the keyhole, how do you guys make the doors auto lock once the car starts? How about the doors autolocking after a certain time period once I leave the car?

Funny read....
But FOB here refers to the casing your alarm remote is in.

Really Cool Unknown Features???
The manual comes in the glove box...I never knew that!
When you press the gas pedal, the car goes!
What will they think of next?!?!!!!

I love the good ol' double hit your unlock door and hold it down on your remote to lower your windows. Great for the 90 degree days and your walking towards your car

Ok, I feel like I'm the bad guy today and am raining on everyone's parade.
However, what's the advantage in using the remote to open the fuel door?
It's just as much work to push the button on the remote as it is to push the
fuel door in.
Again, I feel bad because I'm not trying to be the G35 Scrooge.

OK, this isn't going as well as I had hoped
I haven't even seen one thing cool yet and it's almost the end of the first page. Come on folks! I gave away one cool feature! Let's see the cool features!

Here's one (but true, they're all in the manual).
My electronic compass was way off. Had to reset the "zone" I live in and now it's perfectly accurate.
And, of course, you can turn on and off the horn "beep" when locking your doors by using the remote.

Perhaps if the key fob batteries drain down, you might need a key hole to open the driver's door.
If so desired, when using a valet key, the key hole would come in handy.
