Really Cool Unknown Features
I know, I'm just having fun too. I don't mind having a bit of fun either. I've read through the manual and swear I didn't see the part in which you can roll up and down the window when you are outside the car. I just realized that when my nephew had a friend who had the G35 and said it could be rolled down with the key and that's when it occured to me that there has to be a reason why there is a keyhole for only the driver side and not the passenger.
Also, the manual is so vague on everything. The complete service manual, on the other hand, that thing is a monster. I looked at that and you almost need a degree in engineering to read that! Good thing I took enough engineering class

There are things I definetly don't know about my car but would love to know. So, I'll put one up and hopefully learn plenty of new things.
OK, I know you guys know that you can roll up and down your windows with the key right? I was wondering "Why the hell is there a key hole for only on the driver side and not the passenger?". So, My nephew tells me that you can roll down your window by turning the key in the keyhole to unlock position and holding it. Now, I was like...hey, let's see what happens when you lock the doors with the key in the keyhole and holding it there. Voila, it rolls the windows up. I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering why there is a freaking key hole and finding out you can do this.
So, since I gave away that semi-secret on the window rolling up and down with the key in the keyhole, how do you guys make the doors auto lock once the car starts? How about the doors autolocking after a certain time period once I leave the car?

how do you get in the car if the battery in the car or key fob dies with a key hole.

holly crap! theres condoms in the first aid box!! i wish i knew this... would of saved me a trip to the gas station at 3am. LMAO!
Btw, doors lock with defrost button... I think it's the defrost button. Well one of those buttons.

theres a little button on the left bottom side of the steering wheel and if you push it, this little yellow light comes on and it says VDC Off; after you push this button, prepare to take corners at excessively dangerous speeds and watch the rear of your car slide out and hit opposing traffic, costing you several thousands of dollars and possibly endangering your life and others around you itself. user discretion is advised :P and theres a button inside the glove compartment that disables your trunk button; my friend didnt know any better and pushed it and I thought my trunk button was malfunctioning and when I took it to the dealership, they looked at me like I didn't read the driver's manual.. interestingly enough, I didn't and therefore I am ignorant

OPENING GAS DOOR WITH YOUR KEY REMOTE!!
OK, this was shown to me by another member, and I apologize for the DELAY in posting HOW TO!! I actually just found out our windows lower w/ the Remote as well.
First get our of the car and LOCK your Doors with your remote. You will notice that when your doors are locked you CANNOT OPEN your gas filler door either. Now simply PUSH on the gas door once, you will notice it DOES NOT OPEN as mentioned earlier. Now hit the 'UNLOCK' button and your gas door should pop open. If that does not work, Again LOCK your doors, push in the gas filler door once, then again, then click UNLOCK. I havent had my G35 for a month since its in the body shop getting fixed so I am NOT SURE if it needs to be pushed in ONCE or TWICE, but it WILL pop open. By the way I have an 04.5 G35 coupe...
I have done this as did other member's during our local MEET here, however one thing I did notice is that when you have 15 G35 coupes all in close proximity that the REMOTE's get confused and stop working in some cases!! Another thing is I hope you guys dont think its some sort of motorized swivel action/opening, it simply 'pops' open!!
The gas filler door does not swing open completely or anything like the factory NAV that glides open/shut so please dont take it that way.

Note: for some odd reason it doesnt ALWAYS work, but should 90% of the time...at least lets hope when I am shooting the vid it does!!

One good piece of info for 6MT drivers....if you are in first and take your foot off the throttle, it will keep rolling instead of drop RPM's and stall the engine. Good to know if you're in traffic.
I feel a little let down by the "Open the fuel door with your key fob" thing. It sounds like you're simply opening the fuel door, but because it's locked it will not release. The only only thing keeping it shut at that point is the locking mechanism. Unlock and presto. Not a feature at all, just a matter of doing things in the wrong order and it having the appearance of an auto-open door.
