^Bah! :P

Sorry guys, newb question, but I've got to ask:

I listen to my Ipod through the tape deck, and every-so-often I tend to hit the "next" button on the steering wheel, as if it were a CD to go to the next track, and the tape starts to fast forward. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to stop the ff or rewind from the steering wheel! I have to press the "tape" button the deck. Does anyone know how to stop this?

I do too... sometimes the only way I remember if I set it is by recalling the audible sound (even then I sometimes set it again if my mind is elsewhere and I cant recall hearing the horn).

Tap the button the other direction and it will stop the tape from FF or Rew.

^When I do that it automatically does the opposite function. I.E., if I press up and it starts to FF, pressing down will only force it to rewind :\

tape converter sound quality is a step up from fm modulated. Its still analog, but its acceptable in my opinion. Tapes are cheap, pick up one at Radio shack for 5 bucks or less I believe.

I have one and its the best investment I have made. It cost me $1.50 on eBay and I couldnt be happier. Put the volume to about 65% on your iPod and then just use the volume control on your car to do the rest. Sound is perfect.

It's a pretty old list so don't know if it's still relevant.
I took my list to my dealer 2 years ago during a service. I had the door locks set to "all" when I hit the unlock button. I also changed the light sensor delay. Cost me about $50 to hook up to the dealer's consult computer. Worth it to me.
My biggest fear is when my battery dies I will loose all the changes.

i wonder if the dealer can reprogram the 07 for me after reading this... i'd love one button lock and unlock for all doors on my fob. this way no one can say i didn't hit the button twice and their door is still locked

As someone new to the G and w/o an owners manual I just found out I can hold in the cruise control accel button to accelerate and hold the coast to decelerate w/o touching the gas or brake. Funny, I bet a lot of cars do this, probably my last one too, I just never knew...

That's what those buttons are for...no real secret or anything

I still think the coolest one is if you press the unlock button on your key once then hold it right after all the windows open.

As a new G owner some of these reponses have been helpful. Many weren't, but it was entertaining anyway.

Awesome... just like everyone else is saying. The only downside is that you have that cord coming out of your tape player... but it's nothing big.
