Well you could do MP3 CDs...kind of a hassle but they hold a lot of music. Otherwise you are stuck with a transmitter, which all have similar results; they sound great in some spots and then just give out.
I can tell you this though, do NOT get the iTrip by Griffen.
man...i made an MP3 CD the other day of 6 different CD albums...and i can't freaking have the songs in order...I went to the owner's manual, and it says the order is based on the order that the songs are recorded onto the disc...which really sux...and i've used Nero and then windows, and I can't seem to align them in the order I want them to be recorded....Why can't this freaking CD player list the songs based on the MP3 tags...

Yeah I've heard about staying away from any FM modulator, especially in populated areas (with a lot of radio stations locally). I recently bought a video iPod (turned to the dark side) and I'm deciding between the various systems for any audio input or specifically using an iPod connector. I have XM and I want to be able to play video to my nav screen, so it's a little more difficult decision.

my sales guy was like "wanna see a badass feature? check this..." then did it for me, and it was badass, then i saw the curb rash on a rim, and i was like that is not badass, then i was like gimme $ for it, and they did and it was nice.
