newbie here

hey guys, newb reportin'. i actually own a '03 land rover discovery, but off-roading has become a burden w/ my busy schedule so i'm looking into a daily driver that's gonna' be fun and doesn't kill me on gas.

i'm actually looking at an '01 m3 or a g35 or even an '02 7-series. i know there's a big diff. between the m3/g35 and 7, but the price is right. anyway, i'd appreciate any/all feedback! thx in advance!

p.s. - has anyone successfully dropped a true sequential or f1 tranny into their g? i test drove the new s4s and m3s and those things are pretty bad! thx again!

Welcome, and the G is not the most gas efficient car out there.

Welcome Vchon, and have fun with your G. To me it's the one you should get.

Sure the gas mileage isn't that good, but it's good for what you get, and it sure isn't as bad as the L/Rover.

C.

hehe, thx for the replies guys!

sorry for not doing a search first- wasn't used to this forum... i see that my question was answered many times before. thx for being patient!

well, as far as gas mileage goes, as long as i get more then 10 to the gallon ANYTHING IS GOOD IN MY BOOK! i think i get around 10 to the gallon on a good day, w/ the sun to my back, going down hill and a strong wind (at least a typhoon) in my favor. lol

Please ignore him.

Welcome, and enjoy whichever vehicle you end up buying. I really like the G, but an M3 doesn't sound TOO bad...
