I'm trying to talk him into going to a track with me just for fun. I have never been and would love to go.

If its a drag race, then whoever gets the best launch will win. If its a track, the coupe has an advantage due to better tiring and tighter suspension (assuming everything is stock) but in all scenarios, the better driver will win.

i ran my friend's 03 sedan in my 04 6mt coupe (he was AT) from about 5 mph up to 100mph and put almost half a length on him... my hood was in front of his car... he pulled a little bit when i would shift and then i would pull VERY slowly in between gears... his car was definatly shifting faster than i could though... so maybe a better driver could do better

Things being equal . . . And they are to a certain extent . . . It will always boil down to the driver.

But I didn't make the switch for performance, I just love the way the coupe looks, it's a beautiful machine.

Good god... are you really serious

Sedan is more nimble than a coupe....

To tell you the truth, the cars are the same. The coupe has a little more power but is a little heavier. His mid-pipe is just for sound, therefore you both have G's with intakes. The winner will be whoever is the "better driver"
