What is the most miles you have gone b/t oil changes?

I know that it is reccomended to have an oil change every 3750 miles for our cars. With that being said, I am about 500 miles away from my next service. Unfortunately, I am going to be very busy the next few weeks and wont' have time to service my vehicle since I will be working very long hours, even on the weekends. Should I be very worried if I go over an extra 500-1000 miles without an oil change?

Nah, you shouldn't worry about going extra 1000 miles, just check the oil level every few days till you change it.

I tried to follow the the 2nd maintenance schedule once where the manual suggest 7500 miles for an interval. Usually I follow 3750 on the dot. But this was over winter and most of my blackstone reports were excellent, so I decided to wait until spring to change oil at 7500.

But I did check the oil level every other week and topped it off accordingly.

Blackstone said my wear looked good at that interval, but my silicone level was a tad high, possibly due to bad air filtration. Viscosity was high, but no contamination was found. My insolubles were well below the limit blackstone set, so my Napa Gold oil filter worked pretty well.

However, I now change my oil every 4,000 miles, requiring about a quart to top it off by the end of the interval. I haven't sent my oil in for analysis in a while, so i wonder if they would recommend going up to 4,500 for me.
