Something funny going on....

Hi,
I've had my 05 auto G35 Sedan for about 500 miles not. I've noticed that occasionally the engine seems to stall for a split second and make a noise. it's really hard to describe the noise, but it's almost like a "whirnkk". not too loud or anything, just odd. I think it happens closely to the time after i start the car and drive away. I'm assuming this is abnormal, but has anyone else had this problem and if so, what do i need to do? if not, suggestions?.....drive to the dealer tomorrow?

I have the same thing happen every time i start my car and drive away. It happens about 3 seconds after i put the car in drive and start moving. I'm assuming it's normal because it's done it since day one.

It's the ABS self check. All G's make this noise when you first drive off. Does it sound like a stuttering Ch-ch-ch-ch? That what my ABS self check sounds like, usually heard with in 500 feet of my departure point.

My G does the ABS self test as it reaches 10 mph. It's in the owner's manual . . . You are good to go.

I thought the same thing. The G does a brake test after so many feet. It's normal.....except everybodies G is a bit different.
