Weird metallic noises?

Just wondering if anyone had the same things I've been noticingon my car:

1) brief metallic creak when accelerating from stop

2) random duration, intermittent metallic squeal during driving - this one is pretty puzzling, since I can't localize the noise, and it happens regardless of braking or turning or acceleration.

Anyone?

Your #1 description sounds like the typical clicking rear axles issue. If it's coming from the rear print this out: http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB05-002.htm and take it to the dealer. They will fix it for free. I am not sure about your #2 issue though...

I've got a 2004 5AT coupe. And problem # 2 only started on Thursday. I have to admit, it freaked me out a bit.

ARH is correct... the rear axle bolt may need to be tightened... if it is more severe they may need to replace the bearings and bolt.... This should fall under warranty work... I had the same issue on mine...
First time was on the rear passenger then it happened on the rear driver side... the dealer had no problem fixing the issue...

The metalic squeaking may be the breaks... there is a "early warning" the pad wear sensor that makes a terrible sounding noise when your breaks wear down to a certain level.... you may have plenty of break pad left but it is there to warn you to have them checked...

The pad wear sensor is basically a thin piece of metal that is adjustable but it is there to warn you to have your breaks checked... you can adjust it yourself, but I am sure you dealer would have no problem looking at the problem

As crazy this may sounds, for some reason i get that same sound once in a while & i am 95% sure it comes from the passenger side seat belt.

As others have said, the first thing is from the axle. You don't even need to print anything out, just take it to the dealer and say your axle clicks when pulling off from a stop. Its very commone and they will know what you are talking about. I took mine in to Riverside Infiniti last week and had my clicking axle fixed.

My rear axle bolts came in last week. Had them replaced and everything seems find at the moment. That was a very annoying noise when throttling out of 1st and 2nd gears . . . I trust that it stays away for good.

Yes, the passenger side seatbelt buckle hits the side of the car sometimes if it's not mounted inside the holder on the passenger seat! A bit annoying.

sorry to bring this post up from the past but doing a search led me to this.

Does ANYONE have an idea on how to keep the passenger side seatbelt buckle from hitting and tapping on the door? I've tried all different positions with the "holder" and it still contacts the door.

Turn up the music. or just belt the thing in (even though nobody is there).

Simply lower/drop the seat belt retaining arm.

Nice. When I took my car in, the part was on BACK ORDER for 5 weeks. So I was chillin a G35 Sedan for the entire time. Luckily everything is under warranty and it didn't cost me a dime. What would have been better is if they paid for my gas too. Oh well.
