Oil change for a leased G35
Oil change for a leased G35
My G35 is leased. It's got about 3700 miles now and I think it's due for an oil change. I have a few questions and I'd really appreciate it if some of you can help answer them.
1) am I "required" to change oil ONLY at the dealer?
2) If I change oil at the dealer, am I better off buying oil from them, or am I better off buying it elsewhere myself and bring it to the dealer for them to change oil for me?
3) If I don't absolutely have to change oil at the dealer, where should I take my G35 to?
Thanks!

1. No, you can have your engine's oil changed anywhere you desire. However, be sure to retain ALL maintenance receipts.
2. I recently read somewhere that the Infiniti dealers will only use the oil, which they have in their inventory to perform oil changes.
3. Any place you want . . . Simply keep all of the receipts in case there is ever a question with regard to your car's oil service.

screw that. you don't have to take it to the dealer and you don't have to save receipts.
if you go to the dealer, bring your own oil, theirs is a rip off.
Only go to the dealer if it is something covered under warranty.
