I'm pretty sure on the Sentra Spec V's they use a distributorless ignition system, is this the same for a G35?

If this is so, I guess besides changing spark plugs, and wires.. there really is not ignition upgrade for the VQ35?

That's right. Distributorless, almost plugwireless, ......... With coil on plug arrangement, the plugwire is very short.
Other than changing to Iridium plugs, there's not a lot you can do with the VQ's ig. system.

Nissan's Direct Ignition System is very efficient, you really don't have to mess with it at all. Different plugs may make a little difference, but probably not much at all. I wouldn't bother messing with the ignition system.
