Paint Splash Effect :(

I was driving on the freeway and there was a split can of paint... I drove over the paint and had it splatter across the side of my car... when I finally arrived home, the paint has dried.

There are splat marks every where... I can remove it if I scratch it off w/ my fingernail but it has to be excessive scratching (really tough)... is there a solution to this?

THanks

SHould have posted in detailing forum but anyway, get yourself a good clay bar, maybe even 2. I would advise to try an autobody supply house as they have clay which will remove overspray and harsher particles. The over the counter stuff from Pep Boys probably won't be as effective or will take a long time. Afterwards you will need to polish the paint an dseal it with a good wax or synthetic sealant.

I will try claybar and hope that it can penetrate the paint... gives me a chance to detail the car I guess haha

Wow that's terrible

If it was my car, I would strip down all the wax (dawn) and really get into the paint to remove it (via maybe a cross pattern towel). Then claybar (make sure its lubed), then redo the wax.

Good luck!

did you use clay bar yet? the longer you wait, the harder it is for it to come off espcially in so cal's 90degree weather

Optional
Clay bar or a body shop to pull it off. Should look fine afterward. If youre doing it yourself, the key word is PATIENCE.
