Anyone Had 05 X Brakes Replaced Under Warranty??
In all fairness, its pretty hard for a Dealer to know if the brakes are wearing quickly due to the driver, or due to bad design. Its pretty clear that the g35 coupe 03-04 brakes were troubled but that doesnt mean that other cars with similar setups have the same problems.
Do you ever see your VDC light come on? Because traction control in our cars uses the brakes quite heavily and that would make for low pad life.
Im not saying the dealers are great or anything, but pretty much any car maker will have some dealers that are nice and willing to replace anything for whoever complains the most, and there are some that just won't.
Bottom line, if your pads are wearning out that fast, replace them, and as long as your rotors arent warped it will be a cheap and very quick install that you can do with normal tools.

i will going to infiniti of massepequa. Service manager over there seems to be a stand up guy. He said that the 05's did get re-done with their brakes but, he added, that at 10000 miles I should not have problems like I am having. He said that he will look over the brakes because it is probably more serious that just the pads wearing, so he will have them go over the braking system and if he finds it to be a problem with the brakes and not like sand a dirt, he will have the work done free of charge, under the dealership's goodwill.
so far it is sounding good. He didn't even mind that the car wasnt bought from his dealership, that he wouldn't turn away a new infiniti customer. People like him - not JOHN FROM KINGS INFINITI - have probably just kept me as an infiniti customer after my lease is up.

WELL HERES THE OUTCOME GUYS....
I GOT THEM REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. LET ME TELL U, THE SERVICE MANAGER, FRANK, AT INFINITI OF MASSAPEQUA - ON LONG ISLAND - IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST SERVICE MANAGERS AT INFINITI. i've been to and spoken with a all the dealers in my area and he is great. Their service department was excellent and staff members were top notch.
Frank actually didnt have to do anything for me, but he went out of his way to. He brought out my worn pads (about 40% left) and showed me that the metal in the brakes was uneven and creating ruts in my rotors. What he could have done was just had my rotors shaved but of course that would have just been a waste of time because the would have been back in a few hundred miles anyway. So he went and replaced the front pads. But get this... at no cost, under warranty!
let me just tell you this, he treated me (a 20 yr old) with respect unlike the ******** and that stupid bitch at king's and i will be taking my car there for service no matter what. Also when it comes time to turn in the lease, i will be getting the new infiniti there, so long as the new infinitis ( for 08) are as hot as their 05's!
ill be switched from ****ty kings infiniti to massapequa (except for my oil changes cuz they are already paid for at kings)
