I'm about to buy an 02 sentra ser with about 37k miles on it for my sister. It's a 5 speed and has a nice aftermarket sunroof. It seems like a nice car.

My question to you Nissan pros is, "Will I be inundated with problems?" Is there something I should be looking for or should I just stay away from this year? I keep seeing little bits of information that the 02 has issues.

I have a g35c 6mt and have posted this on a nissan forum but thought I'd ask my own group....

if it is the spec-v ... problems exist with the engine.. they blow wayyy to readily

 

I've heard something about precatalyst problems where the engine will fail. Have you guys heard of this? It's a non-spec v but I've heard the issue still exists unless you go with an aftermarket header.

What is the deal with this motor? Someone help! I need to decide in a day or so.
