To be JDM, I installed a mirror divider between the passenger side and driver side sticking out from the dash. That way when I look to the right, I can see myself driving on the right-hand side! It's the next best thing to true-RHD. I'm so JDM cool.

 

And to think I was the only one with this mod!!!!

350GT "Skyline" vs. G35 "Infiniti".....same thing...just that it makes it special in US or Canada (where I am) where there's no G35 with 350GT like Japan do. Not ricey, but specail...

 

One question.......where do you take your car to get it serviced under warrenty??? I bet you it sure as hell isnt Nissan.....

To me, the car is what it is. An Infiniti. Thats what it came from the dealer as, and that is what its staying. Just my 2cents.

 

Uhhhh, look at all the parts on your car. Do any of them say Infiniti Motor Company?

Considering he profits from people wanting to rebadge their car as a Skyline, that's probably a good assumption. But whatev, it's just not my thing.

How many times do you get your Nissan/Infiniti serviced under warrenty? When it's warrenty time, yes I go to Infiniti, but right now I go to Nissan.

Oil at Nissan= $26.00
I get to eat lunch after I go to Nissan

Why so much fuss over this (past, present, and probably in the future)? Conformity, non-conformity, fromage or cheese, JDM... in the end, the next guy doesn't really care too much. Rebadging may confuse the ingnorant (i've had people get totally confused and wonder what the hell is a skyline), but the people in the know will have their opinions one way or another, Nissan, Infiniti, JDM, USDM, blah, blah... Do what you like, what you think is cool, JDM or UDSM, stock or modified... it's all good with me and it shouldn't really matter to anyone else. I may have opinions about how you modify your car and what you put on it, but in the end, i'm not the one driving the car and parking in my driveway every night. Just make it your own w/ your own style or keep it stock. What ever floats your boat, to every man his own... etc, etc...

My 2 pennies... If you shave off the G35 emblem and keep the infiniti logo, is it a nameless infiniti car and no longer a G35? A rose by any other name..yada yada.. an infiniti G35 is still a nissan 350GT and vs. versa, potato - potahto, tomato - tomahto. And the skyline isn't even really a nissan in origin. It was bought/overtaken by nissan from another company, Prince Motor Co. who had it made in Italy by Michelotti for Prince (sport version of generation 1 skylines), So come on...

I'm going to be the first one to put Prince Motor Co. on my car, next to the skyline wording, and next to the nissan emblem, with all interior emblems showing inifiniti.

In all seriousnous, if you like it, do it. If you don't... don't. Don't flame others for what they think is cool or looks good. Give your opinions but let's keep the heat down a little, we are all G riders... or 350GT riders, or skyline riders... or whatever. (sorry guys... my cogs aren't fully sync'd today - )
