Oil Filter - Purolator PureONE PL14612 or PL14610???
Hey Folks,
I was purchasing all the essentials for an oil change. Now there is a dilemma of a sort here:
Everybody that has changed their oil filter here recommends Purolator PureONE PL14610. However, at Purolator's website they have model PL14612 listed for the G35.
So I wanted to see for myself at Pepboys and the difference is that the PL14610 is slightly longer. At Pepboys, the Purolator books listed PL14610, but at Checker Auto Parts website lists PL14612.

Okay folks so which is it?

The only difference is the PL14610 is 3.52" long vs. the PL14612 is 2.93" long.
Threads, pressure relief rating, OD all the same. Why not use the one with extra surface area? I've been using the 14610 for 3 years, no problems.
