ok guys here is the deal i hit black ice today as i was turning onto bay shore road and i was only doing 20 mph and i started sliding everywhere : ( Next thing i know my car started swerving i jumped off the curb onto the gas station spun again hit the gas sign spun the other way and crash into the telephone pole it's bad. i smashed the whole right side of the car, hit the frame,gas tank,front bumper and door window shattered. three airbags went off and seat ripped off and everything to me looks bad. the rear suspension is DONE!! engine is fine though some how. My car is at the shop right now im going tomorrow to look at it cause i know for sure it's totaled but the guy told my dad its gonna look like brand new. I'm just glad im ok because i had a flashback when i hitted and banged my head and got a whiplash right on back of my neck So whats the deal i got pictures im gonna post but like i got full coverage on the insurance but i dont feel so safe driving the car if they repair it.

 

that sucks but it wasnt your fault. the car doesnt look totalled to me.

 

yea true we'll see what happens when the adjuster comes to look at it anyway.

yea thanks kcc im fine thanks. i'm going to my doctor on monday to get some checking up. I'm going to my friend shop to look at my car and get everything out of it since i wont be driving it for a long time it just sucks really bad.

 

Wow, ice sucks a lot more than rain. I'm glad I only have to deal with the latter. Hope everything comes out alright.

Sorry man. The winter had done it's damage on everyone this year. Atleast you're ok.. most important since you can always get a new car!

 

Damn man! Most important thing is that you're OK! Damn, the car looks spotless too! I remember it being extremely clean up on DPA a few weeks back so I know you take care of your baby.

Is that the X or no? If not, did you have snow tires on there? Hopefully the just total out the car but if the frame isn't damaged, I would think they may try to repair. I think they total it if the damage is 75% or more of the value of the car. Chances are if the suspension got screwed up, there is probably more damage under the car as well which will get costly to fix.

ouch that looks rough. glad to hear you're ok and the sedan used its airbags. are you talking about bayshore road in foxpoint/milwaukee? just wondering cuz i've been there a bunch since my gf's family lives around there. that road does get very slick and icy... i've driven on it a bunch in their minivans
