Best way to remove 3M DOUBLE SIDED ADHESIVE?

I have the red tape adhesive from 3M, I used quite a bit of it to install my INGs face ducts... I actually want to remove the face ducts now to paint them... what is the best way to "PRY" them out? Is there a solution that will just release the hold from the adhesive?

TIA.

Usually if you heat it up with a hair dryer, it loosens the adhesive up.

GooGoo Gone I think its called.. they sell it at walmart.. I used it to remove sticky residue from where I had a rug 3M taped down to keep it in place at my doorway at home.

use a heat gun to pry it off, then use GooGone or GOOF OFF... it will just melt the leftover glue, use a lint-free towel and rub in circles to turn the leftover glue into a ball, then take the ***** of glue off with your fingers...

Don't pry on them. Use fishing string like dental floss to cut the tape. Then use Goo Gone to get the tape off the body & the ducts.

Repeated applications of Goo Gone will take care of the adhesive residue without trashing your paint. You won't get it in one shot, so be patient.

Most importantly... ...WATCH WHAT YOU USE TO APPLY IT! Made-in-the-USA, 100% cotton towels (not Egyptian, Pakistanni, etc.) will be soft enough. Same towel requirements used for waxing.

Just heat it up with a hair dryer and use fishing line to get it off with no scratches.
