You were smart to look at the shipping first, what a rip off! I got caught in that once, the item went for $0.99 and the shipping was $33.00! The item came direct from China however.

i'm sorry but ebay is scam central for shipping. i had a guy charge me 15$ on shipping once on a small item. when i got the package it showed around 3.50$ directly on the package from usps. in canada it's even worse. most people seem to now charge shipping in us dollars for parcel service from canada post. give me a break.

 

That's a shame, I have had over 500 transactions on ebay. I have never been out and out conned. I have had some shoddy stuff (two or three times) but, over all I have had very good luck on ebay. It may be however, that most of my transactions have been for Amateur radio equipment, quite a fellowship of good guys.
