Loose Cone Filter - Damage?!!

So, today I was checking my oil...and then checking my intake to see if its all good. I found that the filter was a bit loose. I think the weather here might have loosened it up a little bit. Do you think there might be possible engine damage? Or will the oil filter, filter it out? I was wondering what happened to my power, until I retightened it. I just hope everyhting is ok.

Also, there is a hissing noise coming from the left side of the engine. Normal? I was all paranoid about my car after finding the above.

a/c is fine...i protected my a/c line. Its just from the hot weather i think the filter got loose. I'm just worried bugs or some crap went in thru the throttle body./

Have an oil and filter change. Whatever got sucked in is in your oil/filter now.
I wouldn't worry too much, oil filter should capture that dirt.
Bugs will do no harm, they are soft and crunchy
