Cool What is the PERCEPTION of personalized plates?

Just curious what you guys think of personalized plates.. are they fun? are they tacky? Are they excessive? Does anybody here feel as if people who have them are trying too hard?

Don't get me wrong, I'm constantly thinking of something clever for my own personalized plates just curious what the opinions are =D

Hey it's your $$$$$... Go ahead and buy them. If I wanted them, which I don't, I wouldn't ask anyone, I'd just go buy em...
Some are cool, some are clever, but to me none of them are worth it.
But that's my choice. Have fun with yours.

I think personalized plates are fine, but at least put in a little effort. I passed an Audi A6 today with personalized plates that said... "A6". What's the point of that?

Thumbs up

I think they are ok as long as its not narcisistic, for example a kid who parks his seven series next to my work has a plate that says "ELITIST". Can you believe that $*%@! I just want to kick people like that in the teeth! Just make sure its funny or intelligent.

i cant stand them, half the time i see one, i try to decipher what it says, and then when i figure it out, i think to myself, that is so friggin stupid. although, i would get one with a random set of number and letters, so that people try to figure out what it says, even though its just random.

I think they are cool too as long as they aren't pretentious or boastful.
