about 2 months ago, I changed the battey. was totally dead one morning. no sound when starting.
New battery, all is fine for about 2 weeks. driving home when all the a/c and radio controls and the consol lights are all out and don't work at all. car is still driving fine. seat and windows working. no radio and a/c.
get home and restart, all is fine.
next morning, car is dead again. (it did rain BIG that night)
jump, and all is fine.
yesterday, same weird console lighting, not working thing again. restart car. all is fine.
this AM, car is dead again. jump, and all is fine.

WTF???????

car goes in, in 2 days.

 

wow major problem... dealer should be able to fix this with no problem... i just hope your car is under warranty

 

did you test your alternator? could be that its going out and not charging your battery as much as its suppose to.

 

So far, the dealer has had the car for 2 days and is unable to troubleshoot for a hill of beans. The service writer calls and tells me that my battery is dead - yea, no $hit! I replaced the oem battery, which got drained and replaced it with a die-hard, which also got drained, by something in the car, like a high resistance short or something. Well, do you want me to put a new battery in the car? is all he keeps asking me. NO - I want you to find out why the car has drained 2 batteries!!!
I will take the diehard back to sears for warranty.
But the dealer seems unable to do anything, except try and sell me a new battery. After I told him 3X it will drain out and you will still havr to fix the car.
I swear, all dealers SUCK!!
