Exclamation Would you buy a G35 with 160k Miles?

I am currently looking into a G35 Sedan with 160k miles. I do not mind doing the maitanace like timeing belt etc... but will this car be good to role for another 40K?

The car has had 2 owners, the first putting 145k and the rest from the other. It is in need of some TLC (interior has some spots, dents on bottom panel, airbag light blinking, has been repainted {due to previouse owner having dumb kids}) but i think i can get it for cheap.

Questions for you all (the masters):
1. Can the airbag light be reset? How? (The carfax states no wrecks so i do not belive it has been deployed, dents and paint due to kids & young second owner)
2. What maitanance needs to be done at 160k (when you don't already know whas't been done)
3. Are there any "known" issues with the 2003 i should know of?
4.Is maintanance expensive for an Infinity compared to VW,BMW, or for that matter Nissan?
5. What would you offer for a 2003 G35 Sedan, Cloth Interior w/ some spots and burn marks, 160k miles, repainted, dent (2) in bottom rock gaurd....and in need of high mile maintanace.

Thanks ahead of time for your info. I am really hoping to get this vehical. I don't mind fixes the small things and doing the maitanance.

THANKS!!!

160k seems really high... i would look for something with less miles... unless you plan on rebuilding the motor

160K miles, not a chance. I suggest you don't touch that car. How does somebody with a 2003 do a 160K miles between 2 different owners? They must have been in that car all day non-stop. A 160K? WOW!

I agree with what I think is a general consensus. Don't buy it. There are many used cars out there that don't have as many <insert concerns here> as this one. Good luck!

160k is nothing for the VQ. It will easily go another 300k.

That is a hell of a deal. I would make sure it wasn't wrecked before buying it though. Because AirBag light and repainted seems a bit fishy.

Guys, since it has 160k, its probably all highway mileage which is the best type of miles to put on a car.

Get it checked out by a certified mechanic first.... if it has done all the required maintainence for the last 160K, I say go ahead. The VQ is strong. Verify that the airbags have not deployed.

Oil changes are important here...do you have any records? Receipts?

The VQ will def be fine for another 40k, at least.

Honestly, I think it's a steal at $8.5k!
