it really depends how it was made, sometimes a replica can be better if the original were say fiberglass then the rep be urethane. also some legit kits come with things the replicas dont have ie. carbon fogs on kenstyle, rain guards on the TS not on the seibon...etc. Some replicas have major gap issues, which personally i think leave stock if you dont mindem. you get what you pay for pretty much.

Umm there's just so much a body shop can do if the fitment on the replica is A quality or B quality. So i would say No it doesn't depend on the shop, It depends on the brand and material.

Most AUTHENTIC kits have a fitment of A++ or Atleast A+ that's what you are looking for when you purchase a bodykit is fitment.

So IMO get Authentic, you have a $30K+ car don't get cheap ****.

Famous saying "You get what you pay for"

Your car looks sick!
but didnt you say the paint on your back bumper looks wavy because of the kit, not your painter?

From what I've seen ...most of the replica kits have had some ...maybe not "bad" fitment issues...and most people I know personally and have seen their cars upclose....have all said mostly like 90-95% good fit which means yes there are some gap and alignment issues.

but all in all it really depends on the replica kit and somewhat to do with the body shop as sometimes the body shops have experience with a little lets say- "snip and tuck" here and there to make it fit a bit better

but it will not be 100%

but I have seen some good replica's fit good and some not so good

the amount of money you spend for prep work will equate to just buying authentic...the only reason i would buy replica is if it's offered in something that authentic doesn't come in such as the INGS wing in cf. Authentic FTW!
