VDC and SLIP indicator

VDC and SLIP indicator
I left my house this morning and about a quater of a mile down the rd. my VDC off and SLIP indicator went on for no reason. I then stopped for gas resarted the car and the indicators did not go back on like normal. Has this happened to anyone else?
