Fellow G Squad and G35 enthusiasts.
We would like to bring to your attention a HUGE car event happening in May. This event is called Cars @ Carlisle: Custom Compact Jam 2005 MODIFIED MADNESS!!
We would like to get the G Squad members, people in process and other G35 owners as well to this event. This would be an excellent opportunity to get everyone to hang out, get to know one another and have a fun weekend. Basically this is a HUGE car event where there are different car groups and classes. You are judged based on how your car looks, sounds, etc. in other words a vehicle modification circus, anything goes. This is a very insane event and there will be rides from a wide area geographically. This is probably the largest event of this nature in the east.
Dates for the Cars @ Carlisle are Saturday May 21 and Sunday May 22 and we would like to see how many people are interested in attending this event so that we can put something more formal together the way the G Squad does it's meets. This is the link for Information about the MODIFIED MADNESS . The website gives you directions, schedule of events, registration forms etc. It is being held at Penn State University in State College, PA. This would be a great drive if we got caravans together. So far the G's have been mixed in with the Maxima's so it would be a good year to represent the G35 Coupes and Sedans and possibly get our own category. This is being worked on but we need to get the head count up for it to happen.
A poll has been setup so that we can keep a acount of who wants to attend for the weekend in May. If you are not going, don't complete the poll. The poll for now will also help us in guaging how many rooms we need to request and put on hold for us. At this point and time this is not a committment for rooms but more of a reservation head count for rooms. Room availability is getting less and less as we get closer to the date and we will have to put a request to hold X amount of rooms in shortly. A committment would be needed later as we get closer to the event date. A group event may also be planned for Saturday night too.
We would suggest to make every effort to attend this event and making an early decision instead of posting later ' I should of gone' , or ' I decided too late to get in on it and no rooms where available' . We'll supply the violins folks.
Post up here if you want to discuss, but please keep it on topic. For those members who can't there is the Way Off Topic thread in the Members Only forum, use it and keep the pw's happy.

That is very true! I know State College is a very safe place, but i just don't know about the people going to the show.

^haha, its the freaken honda crowd that goes there that ruins it. They are EXTREMELY immature, last years event was a freaken mess, it almost ended future shows totally.

Booooz (and others), if you are planning to join us for the Mod Madness weekend please click a category in the poll so you'll get on the email mailing list for MM where info and updates will be sent out, room reserations, group parking at the event, saturday night party etc.
