Suspension Clicking Noise

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this with their coupes...but I have been hearing a clicking noise at lower speeds coming from the rear axle. I called the dealer and they claim its only a lubrication problem, however I've been reading on the forums and others have had their whole rear axle replaced...anyone else have this problem???

he had it and I believe the rear axle needed to be retorqued (tightend to a certain pound per square inch)

I had my real axle changed. Since they had my back end apart, they also changed my pads & rotors....no problems since.

Mine does the same thing... from a stop is sounds like whining and then clicking... are they going to blame me for this when i take it into the dealer?? Especially since my rear tires are completely bald at 16k miles......

I had the same problem. Atlantic said lubricating was only a temporary fix so they replaced the whole rear axle.

been there, done that. Axel problem and they will either re-torque or replace. Its def. covered under warranty.

Ummmm 3,000 miles then again at 9,000!!

Atlantic did the right thing and simply replacde the axles the second time! So far so good! Forget retorquing, get them replaced under warranty!

Thanks you n good night!

my sedan was doing that after ~25,000 miles. well, actually it started doing it after i took it up to 150mph (yes, have photos to prove it, yes crazy driver - just drop it).

took it to the dealer, they said the wheel bearings are bad, and replaced it on warranty.

150 in a sedan!!! Man that had to feele really fast! I took a loaner sedan to 80 just cruisin and it felt like mach 1!! The coupes seem to make you feel like ur going slower. 80 in the coupe = sleepy time! LOL
