EDIT: Sorry no longer available

Dealer gave me $28.5K on trade-in. Can't argue with that!

Holy hell! 28.5k trading in an 03????? You can damn near buy a LOW milage 05 for that! In fact, I just looked at an 05 yesterday for 29.5k...

Yeah they "inflated" my trade in instead of lowering the vehicle cost. The true value of the trade-in was $23,5K which with the tax break wasn't that bad.

HOWEVER - this deal smells fishy. I ran a carfax report and got a bit sketched out so things are on hold for the moment. No problem with me I love my G!

Yep - $5K over the trade-in value would make me suspicious, too. What are you looking at buying?

He hicked the value of my vehicle $5K too. He was trying to make it look like I was putting more down in order to get a lower financing rate through him.

I'm looking at getting a E46 M3 Convertible. Like I said love my G but I really would like a convertible to enjoy the summer. My suspicion was based off of some things in the CARFAX, notably how the vehicle has changed hands and was originally imported from Korea -

Korea? Hrmmm -- I'd be suspicious of that, too. You might not be able to see (via carfax) any problems/accidents from the car's time in Korea, since they may have different reporting requirements.

Good luck with your purchase!

Yeah I got my deposit back I wasn't comfortable with the history of that E46. But I'm on the search now, so anyone interested in my car let me know I'll send full details.
