Unhappy '03 Project Coupe

Guys - I've finally given up on my project "baby". It's been 6+ months since I dropped her off & things simply haven't gone my way ( partially my fault ). Just gonna take the huge loss & move on so this can be the opportunity for someone with more patience than I have to either finish the S/C part or switch to twins ( the AEBS engine is MORE than adequate to handle 700+ hp - I spared no expense on parts - ask Gurgen & Sharif!! ).
Here's a link to the performance mods:
http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=176943&page=3

The A/T is at Speed Force Racing & getting their 1000 rwhp mods ( complete with V/B & T/C ). Should be done by late September.

There's also a full Focal Utopia sound system w/DVD player & 6.5" Pioneer monitors in the headrests. The car's riding on Tein H-tech lowering springs & Eibach sways. It has a Wilwood BBK ( 6 piston F & 4 piston R ) hiding behind 18" iForgeds.
The car's NEVER been driven in the rain & has 15k miles on it. It's been Zaino'ed since Day #1 & I'll even throw in my supplies with the car.
I'll also throw in the original engine since I'm sure John has no use for it cluttering up his shop. I plan on paying John for his work & SFR's paid for so it would be a simple matter of someone making arrangements to get over to Dallas & consult with John about future plans. He could probably ship all the stuff to wherever it's future home will be or maybe the new owner will let him finish with his own "diabolical ideas!!"
Best guess ( since I've never taken the time to add up the receipts - too scared, I guess!! ) is that I have over $85k invested ( including the cost of the car ) so I'd like to get 60% or so of that back. Looks like $50k takes it all.

Feel free to PM me as I've probably left some stuff out but there's not much on the car that I've left stock. Thanks!

Gene

Question Whatcha Need?

Brett - Depending on what ya need I'll be glad to hook ya up. Hey, all this crap started when I bought YOUR old Vortech!!
I wish I could stick things out a little longer but I'm just so frustrated about the time frame that it's just NOT worth the aggravation. I don't hold much blame for John because he's a good guy & not in control of some of the decisions that we/I made. I was actually looking forward to going against the grain of the turbo crowd & seeing how far we could push the Vortech ( & John had some innovative ideas of his own ).
I'm not gonna give the car away ( well, anymore than I already am considering ) but something's gotta give!

Cool Yes & No!!

Sometimes it's not & in THIS case, for me it simply isn't!! It's just been THE most frustrating thing I've ever done in 30+ years of modding my cars!! First it's me ( can't make up my mind about which direction to go - S/C or twins; stock motor or stroker, etc ) then it's John & his machine shop guys + parts availability & NOW it waiting on SFR to finish my tranny!!!
Just a word to the wise, gang. If a shop tells ya that they can do the job in x number of weeks, plan on AT LEAST doubling that time frame ( w/the possible exception of Sharif which is where I should have gone in the first place but he wasn't down in Hotlanta at the time ). As I've stated before, it's not ALL John ( my installer ) but a sum of everyone ( myself at the top of the list ) involved. Still, when I had done all the research I felt I needed to do & was ready to start the project, various vendors & other involved parties led me to believe that it would take a week here for this mod to be completed then another week here for the next one, etc.
For those who think I'm picking on just John ( Rabbid Performance ), here's the latest timeframe fiasco. SFR told me that I was looking at 4-6 weeks upon receipt of the tranny for the work to be done & the tranny shipped back. Tim said the A/T showed up around 8/22 so on 8/25 I gave SFR my C/C for a 50% deposit so the work could begin. I made bi-weekly payments & then I made the final $500 payment ( for a total of $4200 ) on 11/1 & I STILL don't have the trans!!!
Just need to go back to my domestic roots ( Corvettes ) where, when a shop like Lingenfelter says 4 weeks, it means NO LATER than 4 weeks!!
Selling this beautiful ( but frustrating ) car will free up enough cash to do just that. Heck, we couldn't even sell the upgraded Vortech kit on eBay!!
Sorry for the Vent-O-Gram, guys but this has been one giant cluster-f***!!
