with new gas prices.

guys with $3+ gas prices I was wondering what everyone is filling up with? I was just at the pump and put $40 dollars in and got 12 gallons of premium (93) Has anyone alternated between say premium and plus on fill-ups? such as 93 premium to 89 plus? How bad would this be on a new 06? Let me know. I hate giving the damn gas companies my money! (damn the G for making me want to drive it so hard )

You didn't really buy a 40K car to save 2-3 bucks everytime you fill up did you? Suck it up man. Drive more responsibly to save gas but give it the good stuff.

Err, gas around here just dipped bellow $3. It'd have to hit $6 for me to even think about anything bellow 93 octane. That said I've had the car for 9 months and just now hit 6400 miles.

I think it's ok to use 89....but never tried it. I don't think it's going to put any harm to your car it's just you won't get the peak performance.

You put in premium because the car needs it. higher compression/high performance engines use 91 octane +. Just be happ ur not filling up a range rover sport. haha.

i was driving across the state one time and was forced to use 87 cause it was all they had and i was on E light so i had to do it i ended up dumping in some fuel cleaner hoping it would help since its the same as jet fuel just about, but my knock meter was up around 30 so thats not to good but i only use 93 otherwords regardless of price

just fill up premium. here in cali, all i get is 91, if i had 93, id fill that up too. saving two dollars for cheap gas is not worth it, plus your car wont go up to its potential. but then again, everyone is different

That would give you a net octane of 91 which should run fine if you either put just 91 in or half tank of 89 & 93 at each fill.

Err, not really following the math there, but if you drive 12k miles a year, at 20mpg, that is 600 gallons of gas, if you save 10 cents per gallon that is $60 dollars a year?
