Hi if I want to install the Double-Din Conversion do i have to buy the

1- Double Din Finisher
2- Double Din Bracket
3- Double Din A/C Control

Yes you need the bracket and the a/c control when you go with a Double Din

 

bracket is optional if you have an 05+, you may have to drill holes into your existing bracket, which is not a big deal. I just had a avic-z1 installed in my 05 and did not need the bracket

 

if u have a single din HU, do u still need the AC control???

 

You will still need the AC control if you go Single DIN. This is because you still have to remove the OEM finisher/HU+changer, and that is part of the same unit as the AC control, you can't separate them. In effect, it would be pretty much the same as doing a Double Din conversion, except you will have to find something to fill the hole. They do not make a finisher for Single DIN so you will have to put some kind of cubby hole in there. IMO, Double Din our cars looks a lot cleaner.

but i will tell you this, you overall do not need the bracket. I got mines changed without it. the ******* place forgot to replace it with the one i bought!! i have an ugly gap, but overall it worked. ac control and finisher absolutely. now i have an extra bracket i dont need. that works i assume.
