dent removal

Some A$$ opened up their door and now there is a small crease on the rear fendor lip. I've been doing some research and it seems that this might not be repairable using PDR. Anyone have any experience with this? It's very small, but it's a black car and easily noticeable. BTW, it's an 06 coupe with every option other than RAS.

fender lips are very hard to do... usually PDR tech will not guarantee
complete satisfaction, maybe 85%. they may not even do it depending
on how bad the dent is and location.

it sounds more like a quarter panel bondo (well, bondo for the fender)
and paint...

Dents...........Ouch!

Go to your Yellow Pages and look up Automotive.....
Dent removal.....like Dent Masters. They charge
on the average of $85 per panel. Fender lips are
difficult to remove because they are usually double
panels or two layers of steel. Who ever you call will
be able to tell you up front if it's doable.
Just prior to my selling my '92 300ZX an asian chick
kicked her truck door open. It was actually stuck in
the rear quarter panel of my 300. I went nuts for
at least 10 minutes ranting/freaking out. I was to
upset to think clearly......like give me the name of
your insurance. I spent $300 to have Dent Masters
go thru my whole car.....worth every cent!

I'll take it in and see what they say. I'm very careful of where I park and only drive the car a few days a week. It has MAYBE 4K miles on it and it's six months old. I don't know what goes through some peoples' heads.

i had an accident saturday while installing my sun automotive parts and the battery met my fender and my thigh. Nice looking canyon dent but no folds or creases...paintless dent repair guy didnt think he could get it out but he did...the deepest part of the dent was 1.5 inches deep...took about an hour and you cant tell where it was

The dent is not very deep at all.....maybe a few millimeters. It's the location that might be a problem. It's right on the flat part of the fender lip. This might give me an excuse to trade it in for the 2007 model.

It doesn't...people don't care about other peoples' property. It's whatever makes it easier for them. Seems like even tho people know there's a small crawl space when they park, they fling the door open like nothing. Just remember this...old folks who go to the grocery store, park in the front. Don't park next to coupes cuz they have bigger doors, naturally. Don't park to minivans cuz kids don't know any better. And if you go to a Asian populated area, shoot...all gloves are off. Trust me...I know!
