Sattelite radio question

So I just bought a used 2003 g35 coupe 6sp mt and I was wondering about the SAT button on my radio. Is the car equiped with the parts for satellite radio and how do I go about setting up that to work???

Is it Siruis or XM??? If it just has the button for it how do I get the proper equipment to get it to work and if has all the equipment for it to work how do i get in contact with the satellite radio provider to get it connected???

First off, to find out if your car is prewired for SAT, look at your VIN:

Sedan VIN: 321894 & higher
Coupe VIN: 210827 & higher

Not sure if you have a coupe or sedan, but based on the VINs above, if your last 6 digits are higher then it is prewired for SAT. If you are prewired, all you would have to do is purchase the SAT tuner, either Sirius or XM, your preference. I personally have Sirius.

looks like you're going to have to buy the wiring harness as well. if you really want to make sure that you are or not prewired, you can look in your trunk next to your spare. if you are prewired there will be an unused wiring harness right next to the bose amp if you have one. i would suggest you do this before buying the wiring harness. but whether or not you are prewired, it will show on the stock hu.

It fairly simple. Look for a DIY guide here or on 6MT.net. For the antenna, to make things easier, I mounted mine inside the car on the rear deck lid, or whatever its called, between the speakers. Its much easier than mounting it on the roof.
