Clear Bra

I just got a nice, new '06 and I was driving down the 405 when I quickly came upon a truck w/o mud flaps. I started thinking about the rocks he was tossing up and thought about maybe putting on (myself) or having someone apply a 3M Clear Bra.
Is this a good idea ? Is it worth the money ? Is it easy to install ? HELP !!

Got mine done professionally and love it. Great idea to prevent sandblasting the front facing surfaces.
Worth every cent to me.

Do it, or you'll regret it. The front end of mine is really bad. Now I have to repaint, or just get an 06 bumper and have it 3Med before I put it on.

i got my 06 in march down here in carlsbad and had the clear bra installed as a dealer option. They actually came to my house after hours and did it in my garage the night before i drove up to the bay because they didnt have a loaner for me and didnt want me to drive that trip without it . I tell you ive made two trips to the bay and back now and everytime i get to my parents house /back home and look at the front bumper im SO glad i got the clear bra. I have absolutely NO CHIPS so far after abotu 2k miles up and down the 5. do it you wont regret it

Do it...

I have it on my G35 and my wife's car. Her car got sprayed with hard water this week end. And the spots wiped off the clear bra nice and easy.

But unless you have done it before or seen it done numerous times DON'T try it yourself! I have had the 3M material on at least 7 cars and it has never yellowed or even come off at the edges.

Two sources are www.stickercity.com and www.xpel.com and the home page for Venture is http://www.invisiblepatterns.com/showcase.asp

Stickercity offers both the Venture Shield and the 3M they say Venture is smoother in appearance than the 3M but the application is the same. I am going to try it on my '06 coupe this week. Their prices are lower than XPEL even for the 3M product and they say the fit is better, I can't add anything to that statement since I don't have the kit yet.

Make sure you get the headlight protection too!!!

I got my 3M installed the day I picked up my '06 sedan.
I know I will be happy with this purchase after seeing the front of my
'97 Maxima after owning it for 8 1/2 years. I did a lot of touch-ups
on that car.
Have it professionally installed.

Don't wait

Don't wait any longer is my advice. I've had it on for 3 years and my front end looks great. The overall paint quality of Infiniti is not the best on the market so you need all the protection you can get. Thought I was spending too much when I first got it but looking back, it's well worth the investment. And you'll feel better when you're caught behind trucks on the highway or less then pristine roads.

Got mine done right after I bought the car. Small price to pay for a car in this price range. The fine line on the hood beats a shotgun blast.

I also had mine done at the dealership shortly after purchasing it - so far so good. To me it was a no-brainer on a black car.
