Question 04 Coupe, Will these rims be to big?

hey guys/gals I have been thinking about new rims for some time now but i had a hard time finding something i really liked. My linked me to a set of Maya STM's in graphite/chrome. They look amazing and I am really thinking about making the move. My question is rim size. I was thinking 20"X10" in the back and 20"x8.5" in the front. Anyone know if the ride will be ok on 20's? Anyone happen to have pics of stms on a coupe? any help would be apprecaited, I need to make up my mind quick summer is coming up fast!

thanks in advance!

I have the same year coupe. Those sizes will fit without a problem. On mine, I'm running 20 x 9 front, 20 x 10.5 rear. No rubbing and will soon lower it. The ride still feels nice and acceleration is still the same.

I went with Axis Matrix, sorry no pics . The car sits nice and I have gotten numerous comments for it. I just want to drop it to eliminate the wheel gap
(though it's only a two finger gap). As for tire size I run 245/35/20 front, 275/30/20 rear. If you go for a 275/35/20 in the rear imo it just looks why to huge and doesn't look right. Iknow because i swapped out my rear tires after seeing it.

I'm on 20's. It will be fine. You'll need to drop it.
I know mine needs it.

I'm on 20x8.5 and 20x10's. They just clear the edge of the car (imo perfect!) and there was some debate at the time of installation as to rolling the fender.
I believe you'll need to do that if you go any bigger or decide to drop it. That's why I haven't done the drop yet. I know there's quite a few guys here on larger tires and rims. I love the look of the wider tires on the back (it just looks mean, I love it) but I wouldn't want to do anything that would cheapen (my opinion! )the look of our car. It's an elegant, sexy car that doesn't need to scream or be too bling to get attention. However, I'm shopping kits and TT, lets see if I can keep the elegant and sexy.

I'd go read over at the tires and rims forum. The search feature here is hit or miss, but I'd try that too. You might even find a few pictures of something larger.

I have the same car, and the same question!

Just purchased some 18s (I know, I know, but a great price, and I had the stock 17s)... Anyway, my 04 g35c is just now beginning its mods process. I need opinions on fit/ride/offset as follows: 18 x 8.5F, 18 x 9R wheels. Tires are on the way, too, should be here by Friday. Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3... 235 40 F, 275 45 R, both with a 20 offset. Does this sound like a workable setup to everyone? Thanks in advance...
