Just make a comprehensive claim, pay the deductable.. and make sure you say that a big dog jumped out and then your swerved to avoid it.

40mph? VDC off? Black Ice on the road? oil? What exactly happened?

Like I always say when my kids show up covered in mud,
"Did you have fun"?

Now, deal with the consequences. They're not fun. They're not pretty.
They're a life lesson.

I know someone who was convicted of insurance fraud. It includes possible jail time or at least an ankle bracelet.
It's on your record. Period.
There's a lot of professions that you can't do if you're a convicted felon.
Don't go there. Off my soapbox before I'm pushed.

You're so very lucky. Glad you're ok.
Hugs for the boo-boos and bruised ego,
mama grace

i think you mean the fiberglass core support. Look on the bright side, at least the core support is bolted on and not a welded part of the car like older cars

From what I know they go up once you renew everything time a claim is paid. Anyways, I would go with the ins I wouldn't wanna pay for that

Def go after market.

This is what I would do too. My firend got a new Jetta and in 2 days kissed the wall. The fix was like $6000; he called Allstate and told them a driver cut him off, he lost control and hit the wall. That he was able to drive the car home and he was ok. Right away they started working on the claim with no police report and got the ride fixed......His insurance did go up like $100 a month more, but he had also had a previous accident on his old car and his record is messed up as far as accidents go.

If the panels look bad.. make sure you look at the inside brackets etc.. those will be more cash.

For all those who recommended insurance fraud, you guys are dumbasses . Look you wanted to show off by powersliding and you miscalculated...your fault. Take the blame. You're a big boy now and nobody's here to clean your mess. Report the claim to the insurance company, have them pay the bill. Yea your premium's going up for the next four years or so. My advise in terms of a body shop...call the dealer up and ask them for a shop they recommend. Since your G's leased, you don't wanna take it to a second class shop just to save a buck or two just to eat it at the end when you return your lease.

Mobworks looks more like an aftermarket parts body shop. Somewhere I'd go to get my nismo kit on or something. You want something simply OEM with 100% insurance approved? Go to Marco's Auto Body (www.marcosautobody.com). Closest one to you is probably San Gabriel or Pasadena. Trust me, best shop I'd recommend for leased cars.

btw...not good to report insurance fraud when you have Orange County Sheriff Deputies on board reading this thread.

Yeah, lie about it. Great plan.. Loser.

Congrats on taking responsibility, it's refreshing and should be applauded.

Without knowing the rest of your driving record (as it pertains to your insurance) I don't know whether you should go to them or not. Get a quote and see what it's going to cost, then decide the best route for getting it paid for.

Yes, it would go through insurance and your insurance would go up.

I've been in your boat, albeit worse. I made a mistake, totalled my 350Z (hit a tree sideways), paid the price. Yeah, insurance went up, but a small fraction of what they paid out.
