I Need Advice Again

I posted a thread couple weeks ago about how I am going to buy a G .. but I'm not sure if I should buy the G from a local Infiniti dealership in Vancouver British Columbia or from a Infiniti dealership down in the states.

Ever since the canadian dollar became "strong" I think buying the G in the States and driving it back to Canada will and can save me some money. Is this a smart strategy to get my G??

I'm aware that I'll be required to purchase a "state-to-state" insurance to drive the car back to Canada if I decide to buy it from the states. Anyone here tried buying their G from another state? If you have -any problems? Please share your experience with me.

I want a 06 M6 with Sport & premium package and that'll will cost me around 56K CDN. Those who has the same options as what I'm interested in .. would you kindly tell me how much this set up cost you? Thanks.

I'm also considering a 06 M6 fully loaded too. I would like to get an idea of how much cost for some of you 06 fully loaded G owners.

And if I'm asking REALLY stupid questions .. I'm sorry. The G will be my first car.

Thanks

2006 G35 Coupe 6M w/ premium, navi & aero pkg is invoiced on edmunds.com at $36,288USD which is $40,120.94CAD. Have you taken a look at shipping the vehicle over?

Is edmunds.com a very reliable and accurate sight to resource to?? I've heard mixed stories about them.

But $40,000 for all that sounds like an EXTREMELY good deal!!

I do not plan on shipping the car. I'll most likely drive down to Seattle and buy it there. Anybody bought their G from the Seattle Bellevue area?? For those who lives in Bellevue .. any car salesman you can recommend me to??

Your Primary read outs have to be in metric. I don't think you can get it in the states. I know of someone who lived in NJ and tired to bring her car with her but couldn't unless she changed out the readouts (speedo etc). Cost too much to do so she sold it. Check with Transport Canada to see if it's changed but I doubt it. I moved from Canada to here but didn't register my Jeep here for the same reason. Hope it helps.

I checked the Transport Canada "US Vehicle Admissibility" list and from what I read .. the G is do-able!!

Link to Transport Canada Admissible list ==> http://www.riv.ca/english/US_vehicle_admissibility.pdf

But then again .. the specifications that makes a car admissible are subject to change!! I'm hoping they will leave the G's requirements alone!! I just left a voice message for Transport Canada .. hope things will work out for me!! (crosses fingers REALLY tight)
