Just walked in the house and there it was waiting for me with a not very happy wife told her it was a part for a recall they were doing and showed her the Nissan box got away with another mod.

Dan I have not received my key cover. Do you have a tracking#?

 

The Tampa/Clearwater/St.Petersburg area had a Florida G35 Club Mini-Meet this afternoon. Dan brought a few of our door lock covers and installed them for us. Dan used a new method where you don't remove the rubber grommet and Torx screw from inside the door. I took a few pictures and thought you guys might like to see them. It's sort of a mini-DIY for the door lock cover.

Here's the before shot. Not very exciting.



Here's a shot of Dan installing my door lock cover. First lock the door, then pull out the handle and you'll be able to see the clip that holds the cover in place. Gently pry the clip away from the lock and pull the cover away from the door.



Here's another shot of Dan finishing up the job. Note that people not trained for this should probably put a rag over the end of the screwdriver so that no paint gets chipped. (None of mine got chipped.)



Here's a shot with the door lock cover, or Escutcheon as it is technically called. I think it looks a lot better!

it seems that i have bought all of the parts out and that they have to make new ones to fill my orders. the guy said that they should be in on monday so i'm goin to call and see if they are there or not or what the deal is. i will let everyone know what the deal is when i hear on monday. thank you to everyone for being patient and making this another successful groupbuy.
