Well this kid I work with, at the Olive Garden, he is always talking about his turboed eclipse. And this other kid is always talking about how his Civic, with an engine swap, and intake exhaust, all that jazz, how their cars are so fast. Well The Civic didnt know what I drove, but the eclipse turned up his boost, to 15 pounds, and said he can take me. I was like ok. Well I really didnt know what to expect because I had never raced before, I have always practiced shifting gears made quick, but never in actual race. So we go out to these backroads, not a piece of civilization present except for the roads. Well I hadnt made up my mind if I wanted to race yet so I said I will watch the first one. The civic and eclipse lined up and bam their off, eclipse kills him. They line up again and eclipse kills him again. I was kinda scared then but deep down I knew I didnt drive all the way in BFE to not race. We drove down and lined up. I went by pure sound, I revved it to where it was pretty loud, id say 3 grand, the kids hands dropped, and I eased into the clutch, but quick enough to where I got wheel hop. The wheel hop had finally stopped, and I shifted to second. I took notice that he was pretty far back, but the turbo was spooling, I shift to second, cherp, and then I was about 5 car lengths on him, and then to third, and from third it got ugly. We finished and I had like 8-10 car lengths. He wanted to run again and so we did. This time I tried dropping the clutch, after revving it to about 3 grand. It caught, but right when 1st gear caught, it dropped right to 1 grand on tachometer and I had to ride out my whole first gear, and 1-3.5 is like down time for our cars, so that sucked but I still beat him off line, but we got to second and he pulled on me, I was still up by about 1 car, but he was pulling. Then we hit third, and by mid third I started to pull away and 4th was just to keep speed up no big deal, I won by about 3-4 car lengths but it was my fault. Well after that the civic was in love with my car and wouldnt race me but I had a fun *** time.

You raced a GS-T with the boost up to 15lbs and you beat him by 8-10 car lengths? Then blew the start on the second try and still beat him?

Either he can't drive for [censored], he's NOT driving a turbo or you have some major mods you didn't talk about. This car should have cleaned your clock. GS-T's run 13's with slight mods. 15lbs of boost is considerable enough to have beaten you.

nope, stock turbo GS-T that turned up his boost. and supposedly he runs 14.7-14.9 at track. A stock GS-T has 210 HP, and if he turns the boost up to 15 pounds, I would say maybe 220 hp. Plus take into the fact the cars have no torque and its front wheel drive and I dont know I really dont think that could run in the 13's with out alot more mods, but maybe your right balzac, I mean there is also a chip INFINITI is producing adding 70 HP to our cars. Oh and by the way its pretty easy to tell a turbo when you hear the blow off valve going crazy.

Unless the eclipse have mitsubishi td05 16g turbo, i don't think the stock can take it. The stock garret turbo ( 2nd model) die after 4,000 rpm. I upgrade the turbo (td05 16g), greddy front mount intercooler, fuel system, bigger injector, exhaust, etc...all the mods except the internal engine. That came close to 330 horse so at the wheel would be about 260-290. I was boosting at 1.2 bar which is equal to 18 psi.

Bone stock, even if he boost 15 psi, there is no way he can beat you. My 97 gst weigh over 3400 lbs (gsx weight even more). Unless he has the gsx, he might take you down on the launch but 3rd gear our coupe will start catching up.

<hr></blockquote>Come again? I've heard ZERO mention of this, and without using forced induction, adding SEVENTY HP to the G35's already very highly tuned engine seems just this side of impossible. At the very least, I can't believe Infiniti would offer it without voiding the living heck out of the warranty. I'd like to see "official" (as in, a statement or offer directly from an Infiniti source - web or otherwise), or I've gotta write this statement off as pure hokey, dude.

Great fun on the race, but next time just go to the drag strip and get the times on an official slip from the track. It's a lot better than getting a slip from the officer!

I was completely joking about the chip, I guess you missed that one. There was some idiot who came on here saying that infiniti was producing a chip, yes he said infiniti, that was goign to up our cars 70 HP, I was comparing how illogical that statement was with what balzac said about the Turboed eclipses.
