Jacking Points
Jacking Points
I'm wondering what the best jacking points are on the coupe. I've been using the notched body lips as suggested by the owner's manual, but I've also been using a 2 1/2 ton floor jack that has been eating that lip up. The tire place I went to used the tunnel stay on my right rear and ruined it. I know the front can use the chassis, but what about the rear?
Thanks.
Thanks.
You just need to get a piece of 2 by 4 and cut a dado in it. Set that over the lip and then put the jack under the 2 by 4. There is a really cool (expensive) adapter from Infiniti for this. Be careful of where you put the jack, someone here had there coupe come back from the tire place with the floorboards pushed up about an inch and a half!

What is the egg - right in the center?

you can also use the lower ball joints on the arms and put the safety jacks on another jacking point. and you can also use the diff like people said and it'll be fine.. i've seen people put it where the subframe connects too
