I read in at least a couple of magazines about the new '04 Coupe console. Can anybody explain the difference, what did they add, remove, etc ? Pictures would be great !

For the umteenth time. NO NEW CONSOLE for the 04s. The 04 AT cousole is the same as it has been since introduction. The 03 MT console was modified to one with an arm rest around March of 03 (2003.5) (they ditched the 350Z console they had been using). The mod came as the 6MT was being introduced on the sedan. The Z console was too long for the sedan, and they wanted to use one console. Besides the later console is nicer anyway. (I retrofitted). Anyway, when the 04s were introduced, the advertised the console as a new feature on the 6MT, because it was different from the 03 as introduced, not from the 03.5. The console on the 6MT 2003.5 model is exactly the same as the 2004 model.

car and driver probably wasn't aware of the 03.5 model. Therefore they think the new console was introduced with the 04 model. Unless the tire pressure monitor has something to do with it?

Hmm, did you not read his post? The 03.5 and 04 consoles are the same; that is all he said. Perhaps you should read the thread before hastily cutting and pasting.

Here is a pic of my '03 sedan 6mt console. It looked exactly like the one in the '04 coupe sitting on the showroom floor.
