Well, I just got back from the dealer, my complaints were:
1. Noises when shifting from 1st to 2nd (common on this board)
2. feels like a loss of power in 1st,2nd and 3rd (not pulling like it used to)
3. Cant fill up, always "clicks" full when its not
Here is what I was told:
#3 - common in this area, its the fuel nozzels in this area.. pumps fuel faster than 11psi? which triggers the shut off -- have to pump slower until gas stations fix their pump flow. (Who cares, not that serious, only happens 40% of the time)
#1/#2 - after they test drove it, it was verified. They have had 2 other similar cases. Had another guy come in and they couldnt reproduce the sound, sucks for him. The second guy was in a sedan 6MT and it was much louder than mine, they ended up replacing the tranny on that one after replacing a spring didnt fix it. (im not sure what spring they are talking about, but I will get clarification) They called Infiniti tech support and they said to replace the spring..So they are overnighting a spring for my car and then they will drop the tranny and replace then see if the problem is still there, if it is-->> replace tranny. He said he would order a tranny for mine, but its not as loud as the other car they had in and the spring may fix it.
I said okay, call me when the spring comes in....so I guess the noise is not normal as alot of people here say..

If you are not happy after they install the spring fight for a tranny. I just had mine replaced a month ago for grinding 2nd and 5th. There is a long, long thread on my350.com for tranny replacements.

Well, they replaced the throwout bearing (I think that was the part) and its still making the loud noises when shifting.. the service manager called me and said he found a new Tranny up in NC, and its en route here and will be installed and finished before tommorow noonish. They are removing my tranny right now..
I leave for my move to Alabama tommorrow, he knows this and wants to get my car fixed and not pass on my problem to the dealership in Montgomery,AL.
I dont know if I should be happy or sad??

ive had a serious clciking problem with my clutch pedal...only when releasing clutch in between gears is when it clicks the loudest. it seemed to start the day i got my aftermarket (nissan) pedals installed so i thought the pedal bushings may need to be replaced. i called the dealer they looked at it said it was normal blah blah...i had to do a road test with the shop foreman after taking it to the dealer 6 more times and they said i need a new tranny input shaft? anyone know what the hell that is? they mentioned that the tranny will mosty likely be replaced as well should i go ahead and do it? i only have 19k on my 6MT sedan.
