which exhaust system is better

i just recently heard a sound clip for the b+b exhaust system. and i think it sounds wonderful. but i know that a lot of people have gone with borla also. out of the two, what are the pro's and con's and which do u think is the better buy(horsepower) wise.

These are on opposite ends of the sound and volume spectrum. I would forget about HP gains and decide what sound you are looking for. The B&B is pretty aggressive sounding and loud and raspy at WOT. The Borla is much deeper, smoother, and quieter. If you want to get attention and make ricers jealous, get the B&B. The only thing I don't like about the Borla is the 4 1/2" tips. I think they look a little too big hanging under the car, but that is just my opinion. You can't beat the price of the Borla but if you want a loud, polished, high-quality piece - get the B&B. BTW, I had the B&B and now have the Borla. I sold the B&B to englishguy on this forum, send him a pm and see how he likes it so far. IMO the Borla will appeal to a broader range of people, but you will have to decide for yourself what you want.

B&B

pros - polished, high quality, easy installation, great customer service, light weight
cons - somewhat pricey, uses stock Y pipe, some resonance inside car - but not bad

Borla

pros - true dual (or so they claim), cheap (relatively speaking)
cons - lots of pieces to clamp together, big huge tips, quality of welds, fit/finish is ok - nothing special.

Re: which exhaust system is better

I had a similar question. I want an exhaust that will make the car sound like it has a little more power. More of solid muscle car type sound, nothing rice. But I don't want to take away hp. Any exhausts besides the borla and B&B that you guys have heard of that are good?

Go with A Custom exhaust. I have a Custom FLOWMASTER which is about As Muscle car as you can get. I have the series 90 Muffler Dual in and out. It was originally designed for the last Camaro. Make sure it's a True dual from the Cat back and a X pipe not a H Pipe. Good Luck

Do you have any pics from the rear and underneath?
Also, how did it affect hp?
Thanks for the info.

I only Took 1 Pic at the muffler shop while it was on the Ground. Be warned it's NOT a Thing of Beauty. I like it cause it was Cheap, Sounds good, & Makes Power.

Re: which exhaust system is better

Anyone think a good setup would be the fujitisubo y pipe with the B&B exhaust or should I just go with the fujitisubo y pipe and the fujitisubo exhaust?

Re: which exhaust system is better

Is there a huge difference between the X pipe and the H pipe. Isn't the connection between the two sides just there to equalize pressure difference from both sides due to the different phases that the valves may be in with a V6? Are there huge gains in a X pipe?
