Ok i just noticed this the other day. When I first get in the car and go into reverse as soon as I start to move the is a distinctive clicking sound, usually 3 clicks 2 fast and one a second later. It seens to happen when I go in first too. I have no idea what it is. I think it's comming from the tranny but not sure. It seems to go away after I have been driving for a little bit. Normally I wouldn't ecare about stuff like this but I know some people have had problems with their tranny's and I want to make sure this thing is ok b4 my warranty runs out. Preventative mantience type deal if you know what I mean. Any way does anyone else have this noise. I only hear it with the windows down.

Just wondering if it's at all common. Thanx guys.

P.S. It's not the usuall tranny noise that everyone hears I know about that this one is when I first start moving.

Right now with my G35. I think it's nothing big, but you should just take it to the dealer anyways.

Is it coming from you rear right side? A lot of 350Zs and G35Cs are having this problem. There is a TSB on it so you can take it to the dealer and they will fix it under warrenty. It should be the loose axle bolts TSB.

Yeah I have to take it in anyway for a window regulator so i'll mention it to them then.

 

It's probably the abs system,the clicks are pretty loud.You should hear four clicks for each wheel every time you accel/brake.

 

I had a simmilar problem with s clicking sound from the right rear of the car whenever the car would start moving (forward or back). There was a loose bolt on a suspension bracket. It is a common occurance (thus the TSB). Dealer fixed it no problem. This could be the same problem.

I also had the window regulator changed for the drivers side window. Hehe
