I think the stock Evos are pretty quiet. For the power and speed they provide I would say that's the car for you. I can't get enough of my exhaust, I'm usually cruising in a very slow traffic, so I don't get to enjoy WOT sound too often. Closing the windows and not accelerating keeps that beautiful sound to a minimum, and there is not much else you can do.

Just Dynamat the hell out of it. I did it with my previous car (Mitsu Mirage coupe) and I loved the quietness it gave the interior. When I wanted to hear the exhaust note louder, I'd just roll the windows down. It also gave the doors a solid feel. I still miss the "thump" those doors made, as opposed to the rattles the G's make....

This is a great thread. Just made my day

Dont use your age as an excuse ... you are just going *****. It is okay though, your mid life crisis is probably kicking in.

Since when does the Coupe not have as much torque as the Sedan?

My '04 Coupe is rated at 270 TQ, which I'm pretty sure is a bit more than the Sedans of the '03 and '04 model years.

As for '05+, all auto tranny G's have 280 HP and 270 TQ, and all MT G's have 298 HP and 260 TQ.

Either way... a difference of 10 TQ is not going to make you push bakc in your seat or make the car feel noticeably quicker. If I remember correctly, the 03' and '04 sedans were lighter than the Coupes, which would probably make them feel quicker than the Coupe a lot more than the few ponies and pounds of torque in 'supposed' power output from the engine.

hey I agree with you OP.

I think that the car could be a little more quiet on the interior so far as road noise and other things go. I enjoy the exhaust but I'd only like to hear it when I open my windows.

I can understand your concern but I would do it for another reason. Don't want cops hear me full throttle 1/4 mile down from the freeway.
