I have yet to find low cost LEDs that can outperform standard bulbs. I remember trying to replace my rear red bulbs on my bike to one of those 20 something LED cluster bulb and the light output was less than half even. The only LEDs that you may have a chance with would be using Luxeon Star LEDs and customizing a few into the reverse portion of your taillight.
......hmmm...I have a spare rear taillight at home

Can someone show me any simple DIY instruction or with some snapshots... I just can't locate the opening for the tail lights... I still have the two super white reverse light bulbs sitting in my garage... arghhh... and also my left tail light side marker's bulb is dead and dealor charges $30 to replace a new one... I would appreciate if someone can enlighten me here
