Desert Platinum with Black Rims (lf pics)

Hey Guys,

I have an 03 Desert Platinum Coupe and I really like the stock wheels, but was wondering how they would look powder coated in black.

Anyone have pics of this kinda setup? Even another light colour with black rims (no lip) just to get an idea.

Thanks, I love the polished lip look, but I think I want something different. I'm just trying to picture it.

Basically this look on a a Desert Platinum G. He had them done in town here and they turned out amazing.

If you're talking about these Sevas (which I love) I am trying to figure out what the stock 18" would look like black.

I dunno if anyone is kind enough to even do a quick chop??

Its so hard to see the design of the black rims-- you can really just almost put anything on there...

I like to see the design of my rims!!

I'm a silver guy-- but i definitely see the draw to black

nice rims everyone

I think it has to have at least a polished lip to break up the wheel/tire. To me when everything is black it looks like steel winter wheels...I don't like it at all.

I think personally a black wheel with lip makes the wheels look soooo much better

Agreed, a polished lip always looks good, but I'm looking for something different, it seems like its the "IN" wheel to have now.

Black centers.............?

Black rims with a polished lip look good on some
cars.........but that poor Z06...........those wheels do
nothing for the car........saw a new Z06 yesterday
it was yellow, black wheels with black vinal strips
on the sides and hood......what a POS!

+1

Without the lip to break it up it looks like you're riding around on your donut spare tire...
