05 6MT Pinging Question

I have the pinging in low RMP's that has plagued some people in the past.
I'm using 93 Octane.

Has anyone corrected this with an ECU reset?

I recommend following the threads about the catch can:
Here and here.

My pinging has all but stopped with the addition of this catch-can.

Thanks for the pointers, Trey. I missed you seeing an improvement with this by using the catch-can.

I'd still like know if a reflash has helped anyone with this low RPM pinging, as I think I'm experiencing it as well.

I only recall this starting to happen after the MREV+, headers/cats install, accompanied by some slight sluggishness below 2500 RPM. I don't know that there is a local dyno and so I haven't been able to have it tuned... ...but experience tells me that what I'm feeling/hearing below 2500 RPM is a lot like running too rich. This has been my assumption. It may be due to a screwy A/F ratio after the install of these parts (which I most strongly suspect) but I'll keep this in mind as another possible remedy.

With good 93 octane gas, you should get no pinging. All the dealer could do is back off your timing a few degrees, and perhaps clean out the throttle body, and excess carbon in the combustion chamber.
The catch can fix looks like a good one...
